When I drew the face and head of Ms. Joy Coach, she had these strange cones emanating from each side of her face. What were they? As I began to work with her form, her cones took on the shape you see today–they pointed upward. I wanted her to receive the “highest vibrations” she was capable of hearing. So I pointed them to the heavens, to space. She needed to listen carefully and deeply for wisdom.
A few years ago, we had a young friend who loved to play with the large plastic water guns that were called “super-soakers.” I liked the repeated S sounds in the name of that device, so I created my own alliteration of sound for Ms. Joy Coach with the phrase “Super-Sound Sensors.”
When my husband saw how the shape of her face had evolved, he said, “they look like horns.” I thought I’d better address that comment. So, in the image on the bottom of this episode, I acknowledged his observation and stated that Ms. Joy Coach had a “devilish sense of humor.” I also added the satellite dishes to show one way in which she listens to the Universe. Listening is an art form. Listening with compassion and love toward myself and others seems so important now. That is the function of Ms. Joy Coach’s Super-Sound Sensors.
